Join us to continue our Senior Dog Program
Healing Species addresses "last resort" situations, with 40% involving senior dogs, who have a lower adoption rate at only 25%. This is due to them being the last chosen for adoption. The mission is to enhance the quality of life for senior dogs and encourage support for finding them forever homes.
Our Misson
Healing Species is the only program in the world rescuing dogs of "last resort," rehabilitating them as ambassador classroom dogs for our award-winning, nationally recognized, Compassion Education and Violence Intervention program. Dogs not suitable for this work are either adopted into loving homes or may live out their lives at our Sanctuary if needed.
